What your day could look like
As a Clinical Midwife – Caseload, you'll be central to providing personalised, relationship-based care that strengthens outcomes for women, babies and families. From guiding clinical decisions to supporting a positive care experience, you'll work closely with a committed team that values collaboration, trust and continuity.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Leading safe, evidence-based midwifery care that supports women through all stages of their maternity journey.
- Building strong, meaningful connections that empower women to make informed decisions.
- Coordinating care in complex or evolving situations, ensuring calm, confident leadership across the team.
- Driving improvements in how care is delivered by sharing insights, mentoring colleagues and promoting innovation.
Let's Talk About You
You're someone who blends capability with heart. You think with clarity, act with purpose and bring people together through your calm, grounded presence. You take pride in advocating for women and families, and you're energised by the chance to support continuity of care in a rural setting. You're not just meeting clinical needs — you're creating safer, more connected experiences that truly matter.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as a Midwife and eligibility to practise.
- Strong clinical capability with experience in midwifery assessment, planning and care coordination.
- Confident communication and the ability to support others through collaborative decision-making.
- A commitment to reflective practice, learning and contributing to service improvement.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in rural maternity care and/or postgraduate midwifery studies.
Most importantly, you bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage — qualities that shape how we care for our community and how we support each other every day.
Together, your impact will help strengthen safe, person‑centred maternity care across Darling Downs Health.
