What your day could look like
In this role, you shape how care is experienced in Taroom—bringing leadership, clinical oversight and community connection together. Your work strengthens services today while helping the facility grow with the needs of patients, staff and the region.
Every day, you'll make a difference by:
- Championing safe, high‑quality care, aligning practice with clinical governance and national safety expectations.
- Leading people with purpose, building confident, capable teams across nursing and multidisciplinary services.
- Stewarding resources wisely, balancing workforce, budgets and priorities to keep services strong and sustainable.
- Working alongside the community, influencing service planning and driving improvements that matter locally.
Let's talk about you!
You're an experienced nursing leader who leads with clarity, compassion and integrity. You're comfortable making complex decisions, guiding others through change and creating environments where people feel respected and supported. What motivates you most is knowing your leadership helps deliver safe care, supports staff to thrive and strengthens a regional community.
Here's what will help you succeed:
- Registration (or eligibility) as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
- Proven leadership experience in rural or complex healthcare settings.
- Strong strengths in clinical governance, quality improvement and operational leadership.
- A collaborative, values‑driven style that builds trust and brings people together.
You'll stand out if you also bring postgraduate study in nursing, leadership or management, and/or hands‑on experience leading rural health services.
Most importantly, you're driven to lead with compassion, courage and innovation—making a lasting difference for patients, teams and the community you serve.
