What your day could look like
As a Clinical Nurse, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients, strengthening teams and upholding high standards of care across the Cherbourg Health Service. From coordinating complex care to guiding others through critical decisions, your work will help ensure safe, responsive services for the community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Leading confident, evidence‑based clinical decisions that improve patient outcomes
- Supporting and coaching nurses to deliver coordinated, high‑quality care
- Driving safety, quality and improvement initiatives aligned with national standards
- Stepping into leadership when needed, helping teams perform at their best
Let's talk about you!
You're a calm, capable clinician who leads with compassion and clarity, especially in complex or high‑pressure situations. You value teamwork, think critically, and take pride in helping others grow. What matters most to you is providing care that's safe, respectful and grounded in dignity — care your community can truly rely on. This is a role where your integrity, courage and commitment to continuous improvement will shine.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Advanced clinical experience and confidence managing complex care
- Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have rural or remote nursing experience and/or relevant postgraduate qualifications.
Above all, you'll bring the values we live by at Darling Downs Health — compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage — and use them to make a lasting difference for patients, colleagues and community.
This role is about leadership that strengthens care, lifts teams and delivers impact where it matters most.
