The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Registrar Advanced Trainee / Fellow (Interventional Neuroradiology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Undertake comprehensive specialised fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology
  • Provide Medical Imaging and Interventional Neuroradiology services for inpatients and outpatients as appropriate
  • Assist with registrar teaching/training
  • Take responsibility for the activities of the trainee registrars under your supervision
  • Provide education on Interventional Neuroradiology through training seminars and tutorials to medical staff
  • Contribute to and support clinical unit improvement activities

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Successful completion of Part II Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) exams, Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) exams or equivalent and completion of all necessary registrars training
  • An appropriate radiation licence issued by the Radiation Health Unit, Queensland Health
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary full time (12 months, commencing February 2027)
  • Base salary ranging from $6 524.30- $7 189.50 per fortnight

Medical Imaging delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services. The service provides a Level 6 Medical Imaging service at Southport Gold Coast University Hospital and a Level 4 service at Robina.
