About us:

Central Queensland Health's Workforce Division is where all the people magic happens. We are the team behind attracting great talent, keeping them engaged, helping them grow, and making sure everyone is supported, safe, and set up to succeed. If it involves people – we're on it!

Our team delivers high-quality, no-nonsense support across Central Queensland Health. We're all about adding real value, backing staff and leaders, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Big impact, great team, and plenty going on 100% of the time!

About the role:

This is where you roll up your sleeves and make safety happen. From shaping safety programs to supporting rehab and return-to-work journeys, you're not just following systems – you're helping improve them.

Day to day, you'll team up with others to roll out smart safety initiatives, dive into data to spot trends (yes, your spreadsheets will have purpose), and turn insights into reports that leaders actually use. You'll keep systems like RiskMan sharp and reliable and help investigate incidents to make sure lessons are learned and not repeated. It's a mix of problem-solving, people skills, and real impact.

About you:

Build strong relationships, keep things positive and roll with the changes when priorities shift. When it comes to communication, you make the complex feel simple; whether you're writing a report or having a conversation, you have a solid grip on workplace health and safety legislation and know how to apply it in the real world.

And when it comes to data? You don't just crunch numbers – you turn them into insights that help drive better decisions. Part people-person, part problem-solver, with a sharp eye for safety and a knack for making things work better and safer!
