In the role of Field Training Coordinator, you will provide formal mandatory and technical training in the specific applications and use of standards, systems, processes and tools, used by practitioners in the discipline for civil construction and maintenance operations. You will provide regular analysis and review of training programs and processes for our field staff to ensure delivery meets business requirements and undertake operational workplace assessments of staff to meet capability development requirements.
Accountabilities include:
• Deliver and facilitate mandatory and technical training for staff to meet legislative and operational requirements, to include training and assessment of plant operators in the safe operation of plant and correct and efficient work techniques.
• Contribute to the investigation and implementation of innovative materials, plant and technology.
• Assist with vehicle and plant auditing to comply with legislative requirements and ensure consistency in processes and standards, including maintenance of assessment and training records and licences.
• Monitor the delivery of service inspections of plant, machinery and lifting equipment statewide to comply with legislative requirements, including monitoring and reporting on the Fleet Maintenance Management System requirements for departmentally utilised plant and equipment.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent.
• A reasonable amount of travel consistent with industry standards will be required throughout the operational unit and/or the State. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel.
• Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant operations or Road Construction and Maintenance).
• TMR has a Drug and Alcohol Policy which applies to all Employees, Workers and Visitors to TMR workplaces. This may include random, post incident and reasonable suspicion testing during employment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
Desirable requirements:
• Capability to attain Certificate IV in Civil Construction.
• A range of Prescribed Occupation Licences for civil road building plant.
• A Heavy Rigid ‘HR' driver's licence or greater.
• Ability to obtain Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment within 18 months of appointment to role.
• Ability to demonstrate examples of proven experience on plant and equipment and knowledge of working within a training framework of the civil construction industry
