Queensland's passenger rail network is undergoing significant transformation in response to unprecedented growth & emerging demands.In the next decade,various large rail infrastructure investment projects & system enhancements will be delivered which will change the way people move.
To ensure a co-ordinated approach in the delivery of this large rail infrastructure pipeline,TMR has established a Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office.
The Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office:
• leads the delivery of a growing major rail program & has accountability for a state-wide program of major rail projects to deliver on the Queensland government's priorities
• ensures that TMR rail project delivery teams work collaboratively & engage with each other & with Queensland Rail & Industry so as to deliver a consistent customer experience that meets emerging customer expectations.

About you

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
Desirable Qualifications
• Tertiary qualifications in urban planning, project management or a related field are highly desirable.
Requirements of the role
• To be successful in this role, you will bring experience in extensive leadership within large-scale infrastructure programs, ideally within the rail or transport sector.
Leadership and Program Management
• Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in complex infrastructure environments
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under pressure
• Proven ability to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Strategic and Technical Expertise
• Extensive knowledge of environmental, planning, and regulatory frameworks relevant to major infrastructure projects
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategies
• Secure timely approvals and ensure compliance.
• Embed sustainability principles into project planning and delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage effectively with regulators, government agencies, delivery partners, and community stakeholders.
• Experience in leading complex negotiations and resolving regulatory issues in high-risk environments.
