These positions are offered in a Temporary Part-time capacity with various hours (max. 30 hrs p/w).

About the role

As a teacher aide, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacher
  • Working with small groups as well as individual students
  • Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member
  • Displaying respect and empathy for students with high level needs
  • Displaying confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families
  • Assist students with personal care needs. Suitable training is essential.
  • You may also be called upon to:
  • Assist with the management and stocktaking of equipment and resources
  • Undertake clerical assistance duties including typing teachers' notes and programs, photocopying teaching materials, collation and duplication of exam papers, recording of examination results, compiling students' results records, assisting in organising off-site activities
  • Assist in preparing, storing, distributing and clearing away teaching equipment and materials
  • Contribute to the welfare, health and safety of students, including the delivery of first aid
