This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

The Schools Officer is responsible for maintaining the school grounds, facilities and equipment to a high standard, ensuring Amberley District State School is safe, functional and well presented.
The role includes general maintenance, grounds upkeep, event set-up, safety checks and proactively identifying site needs and improvement priorities.
The Perfect Fit:
The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance and grounds experience, a proactive approach, good practical problem-solving skills and pride in their work.
They will be reliable, safety-focused, able to work independently and as part of a team, and committed to contributing positively to the culture of the school.
Experience in a school or similar environment, knowledge of workplace health and safety, and the ability to plan strategically for ongoing site maintenance are highly desirable.
