EOI - Student Support Officer - Amberley District State School

Amberley District State School is seeking an experienced Student Support Worker with expertise in disability to support upper years students as they prepare for high school, working closely with families, staff, Student Services and external stakeholders to strengthen transition planning and build student confidence, independence and readiness for secondary school.

This role will work closely with upper years students to provide targeted support as they prepare for the transition to high school.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

As the Student Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting upper years students with disability as they prepare for a successful transition to high school.

  • Work closely with students to build confidence, independence, self-management and readiness for secondary school, while helping to create strong pathways of support for both students and families.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, Student Services, families and external agencies to coordinate personalised supports and transition planning.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, contribute to case management processes, and help ensure adjustments, strategies and supports are in place to meet student needs.

This role requires a proactive, organised and relationship-focused professional who can work as part of a team, communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, and advocate for positive outcomes for students.

A strong understanding of disability support, inclusive practices and transition processes will be highly valued.
