The role is within the Budget Operations Team and contributes to the development, commissioning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of initiatives targeted towards the provision of domestic and family services to communities across Queensland.

Experience in the use of SAP, P2i systems and SAS will be well regarded. Tertiary qualifications in commerce/accounting are desirable.

As the Funding Officer, you will:

• Undertake financial responsibilities associated with the department's financial system (SAP) and Procure to Invest (P2i) procurement and contract management solution, including contract payment allocations, reconciliations and reporting.
• Contribute to financial management and reporting improvement strategies.
• Liaise and consult with internal stakeholders to ensure the consistency of services, and practices relevant to the division and departmental priorities.
• Respond to enquiries and provide advice about program funding and expenditure.
• Undertake budget and ledger maintenance as required to maintain the and integrity of financial systems.
• Support and contribute to the deliverables and responsibilities of the team as required and assist with the development of strategies that relate to the work of the division.
• Review a range of written materials including briefing notes, memorandums for approval, external correspondence, discussion papers and information papers relative to the programs and initiatives managed or delivered by the business area.
