In this role, you will support the delivery of safe and effective pathology services by coordinating phlebotomy training and staff competency across the Sunshine Coast Group Laboratories. You will play a key role in ensuring staff are trained, competent and supported in specimen collection practices, contributing to quality, safety and continuous improvement across pathology collection services.

 

What you'll do

In this role you will coordinate and deliver phlebotomy training programs, maintain training and competency records, support staff development through mentoring and education, provide advice on specimen collection procedures and assist with quality improvement and service development activities across the Sunshine Coast Group Laboratories.

 

About you

We are searching for someone who:

  • Has experience in phlebotomy and specimen collection
  • Has experience delivering training and supporting staff development
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Has knowledge of laboratory quality systems and accreditation requirements
  • Holds or is working towards a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (highly regarded)
