The purpose of this position is to undertake design, development, implementation and maintenance of complex Workbrain system enhancements and modifications to cost effectively meet business requirements. The Principal Developer, Product Development Infor WFM (Workbrain) ensures that Queensland Health’s integrated Infor WFM (Workbrain) solution is properly designed, configured, developed, documented, implemented, maintained and reviewed, in order to provide ongoing best practice and quality service to clients. The position reports to the Team Lead, Product Development Infor WFM (Workbrain).

What you'll do
- Lead and mentor senior developers in designing, developing, implementing and maintaining system enhancements and modifications in the delivery of the Queensland Health rostering and payroll solutions.
- Analysis of business requirements and system specifications. Provide specialised expertise and advice to staff and management, ensuring developments are aligned to business requirements and system development standards.
- Analyse and solve complex system and business problems and provide innovative solutions within the project or release timeframes.
- Apply Java programming skills in Infor WFM (Workbrain) integrated HR and Rostering solutions.
- Writing complex queries using Structured Query Language (SQL) for problem-solving.
- Complete system design, specification, development, J unit testing and maintenance and associated documentation of the applications and systems managed by Corporate Technology Services in strict compliance with Corporate Technology Services development standards.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated extensive experience in business application development technologies, particularly application development technologies and trends in relation to the solution responsibility of this team (Infor WFM Workbrain) and the ability to apply this knowledge in a complex IT environment.
- Proven ability in the application of Java programming, Workbrain development in an integrated HR and Rostering solution. Awareness of Third Party development tools such as Websphere, weblogic, IntelliJ, GIT, Tortoise SVN.
- Proven experience in Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Experience with Spring framework, restful API development.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in and exposure to major project management and release activities including a thorough knowledge of project management methodologies, principles and practices.
