About the role
As the Principal Data Analyst, you will
• Develop and launch innovative and fit-for-purpose data products and BI solutions to present departmental data and statistics in an accessible and user-friendly manner for distribution to internal and external customers and stakeholders
• Personally contribute to and lead others in the processing, extraction, analysis, and presentation of internal and external organisational data leveraging a modern cloud-based environment
• Identify and implement best-practice procedures to ensure that data processing and reporting output is relevant, replicable, and ensuring that quality standards, documentation, and timelines are met.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members undertaking the processing, extraction, analysis and reporting of organisational data.
• Contribute to and apply the data governance activities of Data and Analytics by reviewing, evaluating, documenting and updating processes and methodologies used in the maintenance and reporting of organisational data.
• Draft briefing notes, Ministerial and executive management correspondence on a range of complex and sensitive issues.
What we are looking for
The position requires an applicant who can:
• Clearly articulate knowledge and understanding of DTET's strategic direction and relevant ability to personally contribute and lead others in the development of data products and solutions that contribute to the progress and achievement of organisational objectives
• Demonstrate high level technical skills in the processing, extraction, analysis, and presentation of complex data within a modern cloud-based environment.
• Display well-developed interpersonal skills particularly in communication, collaboration, negotiation, and the presentation of technical matters to a range of audiences.
