Your opportunity:
- To enhance the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) through the provision of high quality, culturally appropriate services to meet the patients' needs and provide relevant information and resources to meet their needs.
- To identify, monitor and contribute to the prevention of patients wanting to Discharge Against Medical Advice (DAMA).
- To work in collaboration with individuals, family, and community leaders, implementing culturally sensitive engagement methods to address identified barriers to healthcare access and follow up.
- To enhance and provide appropriate cultural support to help individuals to navigate the complex health arena and to make decisions that improve their access and health outcomes.
Under 25s of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $82,451 p.a., comprising salary rates $39.00 - $52.06 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HWF3) (Permanent Part Time Position, 53.2 hours p.f.)
