We're excited to welcome a Senior Physiotherapist, Emergency Department into the Allied Health Physiotherapy Team.
The Emergency Department is responsible for the reception, triage, initial assessment, stabilisation and emergency management of patients of all age groups presenting with unplanned acute illness and injury. A full spectrum of emergency care is also provided for all trauma and critically ill patients.
The Physiotherapy team in Emergency Department will provide high level Physiotherapy assessment, case management, consultancy and intervention to all areas of the Emergency Department, working in a secondary contact role for patients, including participation across a seven-day roster system. The focus of the Emergency Department is on timely care and risk identification, and to facilitate optimal patient outcomes and efficient patient flow (internal and external to the hospital).

Key Responsibilities include:
- This position requires you to adhere to National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and the Sunshine Coast Health Safe Care Framework, which has been developed in collaboration with staff, consumers and key stakeholders to enable our vision of health and wellbeing through person-centred care.
- Deliver independent high level Physiotherapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
- Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Physiotherapy practitioners and students as delegated.
Salary rates: $64.64 - $69.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (temporary part time position available for up to 12 months with possibility of extension, 60 hrs p.f.).
