State Coordinator Reintegration Support


High Risk Offender Management Unit; Community Corrections; Community Corrections & Specialist Operations; Brisbane

The High Risk Offender Management Unit (HROMU) team based in the Brisbane and Townsville regions is responsible for the supervision of offenders subject to a supervision order pursuant to the Dangerous Prisoners (Sexual Offenders) Act 2003 (DPSOA) residing throughout Queensland and the electronic monitoring of offenders on parole. It comprises of the following work groups:

-HROMU Strategic Risk and Support, including the Clinical Support Unit;
-HROMU Operations SEQ, operating from Wacol;
-HROMU Central to Far Northern, operating from Townsville.

Information about the position, duties and responsibilities of the role is available in the attached job description. Additionally, this role will require some travel to locations across the state, including Townsville.

To be successful in this role, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following experience, knowledge and skills:

- Experience in the coordination of internal and external service provision
- Experience and understanding of case management in a human services field
- Community engagement, key stakeholder liaison and/or working with special interest groups
- Involvement with and knowledge of various cultures, community organisations and groups.
- Social work, counselling and motivational interviewing skills
- Experience within a criminal justice environment or similar human services/regulatory agency
- Interpersonal skills, time management and organisational skills
- High level skills in the coordination of internal and external service provision
- Problem solving
- Knowledge and application of legislation
- Networking and negotiation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Risk management and assessment
- Conceptual and analytical skills
- Ability to engage with community groups
