About the Role
The purpose of the position of Principal Project Officer – Child Health and Development is to lead and manage the development, implementation and evaluation of initiatives that contribute to improvements to organisational process, culture, networks, knowledge and ultimately service delivery in the clinical area of child health and development in HHS across the state of Queensland.
How you will contribute to CHQ (HP5)
- Develop allied health workforce capability for clinical redesign and project implementation through education, support and targeted coaching of project leads and clinical teams.
- Translate evidence into practice and contribute to research
- Develop and implement systems and strategies to ensure effective governance for quality, safety and risk across the program
How you will contribute to CHQ (NRG7)
You'll fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
Your contribution will include:
Direct comprehensive care or provision of direct care
- Accountable for Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and own standards, actions and the outcomes of own nursing practice, professional/clinical advice given and for all delegated activities.
- Responsible for clinical leadership for the Child Health Sub Network (CHSN) and Child Development Sub Network (CDSN) of QCYCN through the application of advanced clinical knowledge, skills and competency according to contemporary practice and standards of care.
