Your new role:

This is a unique opportunity to lead the implementation of the Eat Walk Engage (EWE) program, improving care and reducing delirium for older patients through evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary collaboration by:

  • Leading the implementation of EWE using quality improvement and change management methodologies
  • Acting as the key clinical resource and escalation point for EWE strategies across the ward
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, executive stakeholders, and RBWH facilitation experts
  • Coordinating education and training to build capability in older person-friendly care
  • Supporting audits, data reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Driving patient-centred care approaches that enhance safety, mobility, nutrition, and engagement
  • Facilitating meetings and promoting program objectives across the service

About you:

You are a motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse who is passionate about improving care for older patients and thrives in a collaborative environment with:

  • Current AHPRA registration and relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in acute care and/or geriatric care
  • Strong understanding of delirium prevention and older person-friendly care principles
  • Proven ability in quality improvement, project coordination, and change management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to lead, educate and influence multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
