We're excited to welcome a Senior Podiatrist to our Podiatry, Prosthetics and Orthotics team.

As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, deliver high level podiatry clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health (SCHHS).

Queensland Hospital and Health Service (HHS) Podiatrists provide best practice care for clients with acute and high-risk foot disease. Best practice foot disease management reduces hospitalisation, amputation, mortality, and overall costs. Queensland HHS Statement of Core Business states that podiatrists employed by HHSs will deliver evidence based, best practice clinical services for the people who receive podiatry care. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Deliver independent high level podiatry clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence. 
• Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.    
• Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced [discipline] practitioners and students as delegated.    
• Adhere to relevant expectations outlined in the SCHHS and Allied Health Governance Framework documents and Business Rules to ensure that best patient outcomes are achieved in a transparent, ethical and accountable manner.  

Remuneration value up to $157,359 p.a., comprising salary between $128,169 - $137,918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4). (Fixed Term Temporary full time, 76 hrs p.f. for 12 months). Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy.
