This roles purpose is to work as a collaborative member of the Torres and Cape Mental Health and AODs Service addressing mental health, social and emotional wellbeing, alcohol and other drug‑related issues. The position operates within a harm‑reduction framework and a community development and engagement model. The role supports the delivery of services focused on prevention, early detection, and management of mental health and alcohol and other drugs, including the provision of culturally appropriate interventions, education, and advice that reflect the social and cultural context of Indigenous people, maintain accountability, professional responsibility, and high‑quality care within the Health Worker Scope of Practice.
