Start a new journey with West Moreton Health! We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Specialist in Obstetric Medicine who will work alongside our existing obstetric physicians, a broad team of specialist physicians and obstetricians at Ipswich Hospital.
Temporary part-time opportunity (32 hours per fortnight) to 28 February 2027!
Salary details shown are based on the annual base salary (80 hours per fortnight)

About the role
WMH delivers approximately 3000 babies annually and has a neonatal unit that cares for neonates delivered from 32 weeks' gestation. The Obstetric Medicine unit, under the department of Medicine, provides care to pregnant women with medical issues at any gestation. Patients are referred by the Obstetrics unit and GPs to our outpatient's clinics in which we provide antenatal care in addition to preconception counselling and post-partum care to women with pre-existing or pregnancy related medical concerns.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Contribute to the establishment and fostering of relationships between the hospital and relevant community groups to provide information and ensure the continuum of care for the patient.
- Actively contribute to maintaining a safe workplace that values the health and safety of co-workers, clients or visitors (including health and safety, business and operational risks).
- Actively participate in Health Service performance, planning, appraisal and individual development planning processes.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
