Assist in the provision of safe, effective and high‑quality pharmacy services under the supervision of registered pharmacists, supporting the efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. The role is primarily based at Lotus Glen Correctional Centre, with regular opportunities to work within the Mareeba Hospital Pharmacy Department, contributing to clinical support, medication supply and operational pharmacy activities across both sites.Job details

About us:
- Actively participate in the pharmacy team by working cooperatively and effectively within the team and with patients / clients.
- Perform clinical assistant functions including replenishing stock on shelves, unpacking original outer onto shelves, and ensuring practices of stock rotation to enable shortest "expiry" dates are used first.
- Assist with stocktaking, stock rotation and expiry date monitoring of medicines in the pharmacy at Lotus Glen Correctional Centre and Mareeba hospital, and other designated areas of the hospital.
- Perform functions associated with the receipt, handling, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and delivery of medicines, in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve patient care.
