What your day could look like

As a Senior Allied Health Clinician, you'll play a meaningful role in strengthening child and youth mental health outcomes across the South Burnett. From supporting complex clinical journeys to shaping how care is delivered, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team united by purpose, compassion and community connection.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Delivering high‑quality assessments and therapeutic interventions that support children, adolescents and families through complex mental health challenges
  • Working in partnership with families, clinicians and community services to create coordinated, person‑centred care pathways
  • Using your clinical judgment and experience to guide decision‑making, improve practice and respond flexibly to emerging needs
  • Leading quality improvements, sharing expertise, and contributing ideas that strengthen services and support your colleagues

Let's talk about you!

You bring both confidence and care to your work. You're clinically grounded, thoughtful in your approach, and motivated by making a real difference in the lives of young people and their families. You act with integrity, lead with compassion, and step forward with courage when decisions matter.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Full registration or membership as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker or Speech Pathologist
  • Experience delivering evidence‑based mental health care with children, adolescents and families
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working within multidisciplinary teams

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in rural or regional settings and/or postgraduate study in mental health.

Above all, you'll live the values of Darling Downs Health — compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage — helping shape healthier futures for young people and communities.
