What your day could look like
As a Business Practice Improvement Officer, you'll play a key role in strengthening how outpatient services support our community. From shaping smarter systems to improving the way patients access care, you'll work with a team that values innovation, collaboration, and the drive to make every experience count.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Leading improvements that enhance access, flow, and overall patient experience across outpatient services.
- Guiding teams through data‑driven insights that lift performance, safety, and service quality.
- Partnering with clinicians and leaders to develop consistent, best‑practice processes that support sustainable service delivery.
- Driving innovation through thoughtful analysis, benchmarking, and forward‑focused problem‑solving.
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who blends analytical strength with human‑centred thinking. You thrive on solving complex problems, bringing people together, and creating change that genuinely improves care for patients and teams alike. You act with integrity, think with courage, and take pride in building systems that make health services more effective, equitable, and future‑ready. You're not just here to optimise processes—you're here to make a positive, lasting impact.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Strong experience working in outpatient or health service environments, with the ability to interpret and apply performance, demand, or activity data.
- High‑level communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to influence, negotiate, and guide diverse stakeholders.
- The capability to lead improvement initiatives using structured project or service redesign approaches.
- A valid driver licence and willingness to travel as needed.
You'll stand out if you bring project management qualifications and/or experience leading change in complex or regional health settings.
Most importantly, you're passionate about improving healthcare access and outcomes—and committed to bringing compassion, dignity, innovation, integrity, and courage to every part of your work.
