About the work unit / facility

Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility is part of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and supported by the Rural Hospitals Group. The facility provides care for 70 residents across two units: the McCarthy high‑care frail aged unit (40 beds, including one respite bed) and the Nautilus/Pandora secure unit (30 beds, including two respite beds). Parklands is committed to delivering safe, high‑quality, home‑like care in line with the Aged Care Standards.

About your opportunity

Operational Services at Parklands brings together functions such as catering, cleaning and laundry into a cohesive team focused on supporting high‑quality resident care. Flexibility is an important part of the role, and staff work closely with their supervisor and the wider multidisciplinary team, including nursing, allied health and administration.

Operational Services Officers deliver safe, high‑quality services that meet resident needs and environmental standards, under appropriate direction and within their level of training and experience. Staff are expected to maintain required competencies, undertake relevant education and uphold public sector standards, including the Code of Conduct and Aged Care Standards.
