Are you passionate about creating mentally healthy workplaces and influencing meaningful organisational change? The QBCC is seeking a Principal Psychosocial Advisor to drive our psychosocial risk management strategy and uplift psychological safety across the organisation.

This is a senior advisory role where you'll partner with leaders, shape strategy, and deliver initiatives that support a thriving, safe and high‑performing workforce.

What you will do

  • You will lead the development and implementation of psychosocial health and wellbeing initiatives aligned to QBCC's WHS roadmap
  • Provide strategic advice and coaching to leaders on mental health, wellbeing and psychosocial risk mitigation
  • Conduct psychosocial risk assessments and contribute to systemic organisational interventions
  • Develop and deliver training, workshops and wellbeing programs that build capability and confidence across the organisation.
  • Collaborate across departments to embed best practice and ensure compliance with WHS legislation.
  • Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve wellbeing initiatives to ensure they deliver meaningful outcomes.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Deep expertise in psychosocial risk management and contemporary mental health frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build trust at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical capability to design evidence‑based interventions.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, particularly in delivering complex wellbeing programs.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic, evolving environment.

  3. Driving safety outcomes through engagement:
    Describe a time you used communication and engagement strategies to build awareness, shift behaviour, or improve psychosocial or WHS outcomes.
