About the opportunity
You will join a high-calibre leadership team within a collegiate and forward-thinking environment. Key responsibilities include:

Providing strategic and clinical leadership across obstetrics and gynaecology services, ensuring alignment with organisational values and strategic objectives.

Leading workforce development, fostering a culture of excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Overseeing clinical governance frameworks that ensure safety, quality, and responsiveness to patient needs.

Delivering clinical services, including participation in after-hours and weekend on-call rosters

Driving education, training, and research initiatives to strengthen professional practice and patient outcomes.

Championing innovation in service delivery, including outreach and specialist clinics for diverse community needs.
About you
We are seeking a motivated and experienced leader with:
-
Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (or equivalent), and eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.

Demonstrated senior leadership experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, with a track record in strategic planning, clinical governance, and workforce development.

Strong commitment to patient safety, service quality, and evidence-based care.

High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and resolve complex issues.

Proven capability to lead research, evaluation, and service innovation initiatives.

Understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity, and culturally responsive care.

Logan Hospital:
Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
