Fixed Term Temporary Full-time or Part-time opportunity to gain exposure to tertiary level perinatal and neonatal medicine, providing direct clinical care to neonates under the supervision of experienced consultant neonatologists. The Grantley Stable Neonatal Unit (GSNU) delivers specialist care to extremely premature infants from 22 weeks’ gestation, as well as unwell preterm and term neonates.

About the role
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced paediatric registrar or advanced trainee to further develop specialist skills in neonatal and perinatal medicine within a high‑acuity tertiary setting. Working as part of a large multidisciplinary team, the Registrar / Senior Registrar will contribute to the delivery of safe, high‑quality medical care to neonates requiring intensive and specialist support.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Neonatal clinical skills and abilities are expected, consistent with the level of training in neonatal care, according to years of experience.
- Good communication skills are expected at a primary patient care and inter professional level.
- Registrars are expected to be punctual, polite and maintain a professional appearance.
- You must respect the dignity of their patients and fellow workers and the confidentiality of patients' medical information.
- You must abide by the code of ethics of the medical profession and respect the philosophies of Metro North Health and Queensland Health.
