Community Corrections is responsible for supervising adults subject to Community Based Orders and/or Parole. We aim to protect the community & reduce re-offending by supervising clients & supporting them to achieve meaningful change.

District Offices are located in Mackay, Townsville & Mt Isa. We are seeking a casual Community Service Field Supervisors to join our Mt Isa team.

This role will contribute to the delivery of QCS’s community service program by supervising and directing the on-site activities of community service workers on community services project/s.

The primary accountabilities of the Community Services Field Supervisor include:

• Understanding of the expectations and aims of the community service program
• Proven experience to supervise others when planning and organising work activities to achieve specified goals
• Understanding of workplace health and safety guidelines for equipment, tools and safe workplace practices
• Communication skills as demonstrated through the ability to listen and provide clear verbal instructions
• Interpersonal skills as demonstrated through the ability to relate and engage well with people from different walks of life, show resilience and use sound judgement
• Ability to use QSC systems and applications relevant to the responsibilities of the position.

The incumbent will be required to undertake professional development and training relevant to the role as required and as deemed appropriate for the location of the advertised vacancy. The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class licence is required and will be mandatory in specific locations where it is identified as essential by the hiring panel.
