Redefine the future of Queensland's tourism industry with groundbreaking initiatives under Destination 2045: Delivering Queensland's Tourism Future.

We're searching for a visionary leader to take on the dynamic role of Manager, Industry Support. This is your chance to make a lasting impact—not just on the industry, but on communities and businesses across Queensland.
With your leadership, the Industry Support team will be a powerhouse for collaboration, bringing together government, local councils, and industry insiders.
Lead the delivery and oversight of key tourism support programs including the Tourism Support Hub, to elevate tourism operators, spark innovation, and futureproof the sector.

In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will:
• Foster partnerships with diverse internal and external teams to support tourism industry growth.
• Oversee governance processes, manage procurement, contracts and deliver  industry-support initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including department executives and tourism organisations.
• Lead and support your team to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
• Promote a safe and respectful workplace culture free from any form of bullying, discrimination or harassment.
• This role will also take you on a journey beyond the office. Travel across Queensland—and sometimes interstate—to connect with key industry players, present innovative ideas, and drive collaboration.

What You Bring:
We are looking for a high-performing leader with demonstrated experience in managing substantial projects and programs, establishing partnerships and leading driven teams. Your communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills will ensure successful engagement with stakeholders. Experience working in or a strong understanding of Queensland's tourism industry will be highly regarded.

Here's what we're after:
• Proven success in leading transformative projects in dynamic environments.
• Skills in managing partnerships, governance, and complex programs.
• Confidence to represent Queensland tourism on regional, interstate, and industry stages.
• Exceptional communication to engage diverse stakeholders, both in writing and in person.
• Passion for fostering inclusion, empowering communities, and promoting respect across all you do.
• A deep appreciation for the richness of Queensland's tourism landscape (or the curiosity to dive in and learn).

Why Join Us?
You'll work at the heart of Queensland's tourism industry, shaping programs that strengthen the sector and inspire communities. You'll have the chance to travel, innovate, collaborate and lead with purpose.
We're proud of our inclusive team culture, where diversity, equity, and respect are paramount. Together, we'll work towards a future where Queensland's tourism industry is globally celebrated, economically vibrant, and deeply connected to its people.

Are You Ready?
Join us in making Destination 2045 a reality. Apply now to make your mark on Queensland's future as a global tourism leader.
