The Planning Services team is seeking enthusiastic Planning Support Officers to join our regional offices across Queensland. In this role you will provide essential administrative support to a team of Town Planning professionals and act as the first point of contact for clients and stakeholders as part of the department’s role as the State Assessment and Referral Agency (SARA).

Working with the Manager and other members of our group to:
• Assist with and maintain information systems and databases (such as MyDAS2 and the department's record management system), ensuring compliance with administrative and audit processes.
• Support Town Planners to assess development applications, handle correspondence, and process planning scheme amendments in line with office procedures and guidelines.
• Provide administrative support to prepare briefing documents, reports and correspondence, ensuring they meet required stylistic expectations and required deadlines.
• Undertake reception services, including answering phone calls and emails, and act as the first point of contact to members of the public, offering helpful advice or directing enquiries to the right team member.
• Provide administrative support for events, workshops, and meetings, including taking minutes and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Provide general business support to the office, such as daily reporting, processing payments, filing and recordkeeping.

The key responsibilities outlined above provide a general guide and are not an exhaustive list. They may change over time, but the department will ensure you receive the necessary training and support for any new tasks or skills required.
