  • Base salary range: $5130.40 to $5931.50 p.f. (L4-L9)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity

This Registrar role offers broad anaesthetic experience within a tertiary surgical referral centre caring for adult and paediatric patients from both urban and rural communities.

You'll gain exposure to a wide range of sub‑specialty surgical services, including general surgery, orthopaedics (adult, paediatric and trauma), neurosurgery, paediatric surgery, cardiothoracics, vascular, tertiary obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, ophthalmology and maxillofacial surgery. Supported non‑surgical services include cardiology (EPS, structural interventions, TAVI), endoscopy, bronchoscopy/EBUS, ECT, advanced medical imaging and perioperative medicine.

Registrars can tailor their year toward areas of interest such as Advanced Airway Management, Trauma Anaesthesia, Cardiac Anaesthesia or Obstetric Anaesthesia. The role includes progressive supervisory responsibilities, first on‑call experience, and involvement in teaching junior medical staff and trainees.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and registration with AHPRA.
  • Accepted into the recognised vocational college training program relevant to anaesthetics and successful completion of the Part 2 FANZCA exam.
