Your new role:
This is a senior nursing leadership opportunity to drive system-wide clinical improvement, innovation, and patient-centred care across Metro South. Within this role you will:
- Provide strategic, operational, and professional nursing leadership to deliver and evaluate large-scale clinical redesign and health system improvement initiatives.
- Champion innovative models of care that improve patient flow, access, and outcomes while enhancing system efficiency and sustainability.
- Partner with executive leaders, clinicians, and external stakeholders to strengthen integrated care pathways and deliver coordinated, patient-focused services.
- Lead and coordinate health service-wide programs and projects aligned to Tier 1 KPIs, state priorities, and organisational targets.
About you:
You are an experienced and contemporary nursing leader with expertise in driving health system improvement, clinical redesign, and delivering patient-centred outcomes. You bring a balance of clinical expertise, strategic thinking, and a commitment to safe patient centred care. To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated accountability for nursing and midwifery practice, ensuring clinical governance, compliance, and the delivery of safe, patient-centred care aligned to organisational targets.
- Proven expertise in leading clinical redesign, programs, and projects, delivering sustainable models of care that improve access, flow, and outcomes.
- Experience in building workforce capability through education, research, and the application of evidence-based practice.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence across clinical teams and partners.
- Advanced analytical skills, including interpreting complex clinical, financial, and workforce data to inform decision-making and system improvement.
