The purpose of this role is to provide high-level scientific expertise, leadership and advice in the delivery of molecular diagnostic and genetic referral services within the PCR Genomics laboratory. The role contributes to service quality, data analysis, workflow management and continuous improvement to support diagnostic testing and patient care.
What you'll do
In this role you will perform complex molecular and genetic testing including DNA extraction, sequencing and genotyping, analyse and manage laboratory data, provide expert advice on genetic referrals, support workflow and workload management, contribute to quality and accreditation requirements, assist with developing laboratory procedures, and provide guidance and training to staff.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Holds a degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Genetics or related field
- Has experience in molecular diagnostics, PCR and genomics
- Has experience with DNA extraction, sequencing and data analysis
- Can work independently and make sound scientific decisions
