The role:
Reporting to the Practice Manager - Change Management, the Principal Business Change Officer will support the Business Change Practice, which is responsible for guiding and enabling business change professionals across the Delivery Services Branch, eHealth Queensland. This position plays a key role in delivering capability uplift across the branch, while working closely with the Practice Manager to:
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Business Change competency framework and self-assessment tool, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.
- Contribute to the development, enhancement, and standardisation of change management frameworks, process guides, and templates, improving consistency and quality across the Delivery Services Branch.
- Support the growth of the Business Change Community of Practice and its associated SharePoint site, fostering capability uplift and a consistent approach to change management practices.
- Support and shape the onboarding of new business change professionals, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and best-practice methodologies needed for success.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to members of the Business Change Community of Practice, supporting career growth and capability development.
- Support the delivery of organisational capability and learning initiatives, including the Internal Development Program, Digital Graduate Program, and Project Delivery Framework training, along with branch-wide refresher and uplift sessions.
- Provide peer review and support to ensure business change deliverables align with best practices and comply with eHealth Queensland Project Delivery frameworks and standards.
- Actively facilitate collaboration with other practices within the branch, ensuring business change initiatives align with broader organisational objectives and strategic priorities.
- Engage with external business change communities and industry experts to stay informed of emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies that could benefit eHealth Queensland.
- Support the Practice Manager in driving the strategic direction of the Business Change Practice, ensuring alignment with eHealth Queensland's goals and priorities.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience in business change management, including knowledge of frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and embed consistent change practice across complex, multi-stakeholder environments without direct authority.
- Ability to facilitate forums for Business Change professionals which may include knowledge-sharing sessions and other professional development initiatives.
- Experience in supporting the development and implementation of competency frameworks, training programs, and capability uplift strategies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of leadership.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching staff to support their career growth and development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support quality assurance and continuous improvement in business change processes.
- A passion for driving change capability and supporting business transformation within a complex organisation.
