Your new role:
This is a unique joint appointment providing strategic nursing and research leadership to advance care for older persons across a major health service and academic institution. You will:
- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary research program focused on ageing, dementia, and complex care
- Drive clinical governance, service improvement, and innovative models of care for older persons
- Build strong partnerships across health services, academia, government, and community stakeholders
- Oversee data-driven decision-making, quality improvement, and system-wide performance outcomes
About you:
You are an accomplished nursing leader and researcher with a passion for improving outcomes for older people through evidence-based practice and innovation. You are:
- A PhD-qualified Registered Nurse with extensive experience in aged care research and leadership
- Proven in securing competitive research funding and delivering impactful publications
- Strong strategic, analytical, and financial management capabilities within complex health environments
- An exceptional communicator with stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence across clinical, academic, and policy settings

Unit Profile
The Nursing Practice Development Unit (NPDU) within Metro South Health consists of the following health service components: The Nursing Education Unit, The Nursing Research Unit and The Simulation Service. QUT School of Nursing
