Your new role:
As a Registered Nurse in Ward 6B Acute Cognitive Unit, you will deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for patients with complex cognitive and geriatric needs, by:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care across a 12-bed acute cognitive unit
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with conditions such as dementia, delirium, and functional decline
- Collaborating with medical, nursing and allied health teams to support holistic patient outcomes
- Supporting safe care delivery through adherence to clinical standards, policies, and quality frameworks
- Contributing to education, mentorship, and continuous improvement within the unit
- Demonstrating clinical leadership and accountability, including delegation and team coordination when required
About you:
You are a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse with a genuine interest in cognitive and geriatric care, who thrives in a collaborative and evolving clinical environment, with:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and sound clinical decision-making
- Experience or a strong interest in dementia, delirium, and geriatric patient care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
- Ability to prioritise, adapt, and respond to changing clinical environments
