Your new role:

In this role, you will deliver advanced inpatient psychology services while supporting team capability and service improvement through:

  • Delivering evidence-based clinical psychology and/or neuropsychology assessment, intervention and evaluation in an inpatient setting
  • Managing a complex caseload within a collaborative interprofessional team
  • Providing clinical leadership, supervision and support to junior clinicians and students
  • Contributing to service development, quality improvement and research initiatives
  • Acting as a key clinical reference point within the psychology team
  • Supporting patient-centred care, discharge planning and continuity of care

About you:

You are an experienced and motivated clinician who brings strong clinical capability and leadership to a fast-paced environment, with:

  • Proven expertise in delivering high-quality clinical psychology and/or neuropsychology services in inpatient or complex settings
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and complex caseloads
  • Experience providing supervision, training and support to developing clinicians
  • A proactive approach to service improvement, research and evidence-based practice
  • Eligibility for registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist (with Clinical and/or Health endorsement highly regarded)

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
