We're excited to welcome a Registered Nurse Paediatrics to our Outpatients Clinic.
The Children's and Adolescent Clinic provides outpatient care to children and adolescents within a multidisciplinary team setting. A variety of clinics including Diabetes, Oncology, Children's continence and Procedural Support are available. Nurse led clinics provide an adjunct to care provided by the Paediatric team.
Registered Nurses have a variety of responsibilities including enrolled nurse support, triaging referrals, assisting with procedural sedation and infusion clinics, assisting the Oncology CNC, and provide direct clinical care to children in the outpatient setting. Communication with all members of the team, including the family is an integral part of the role. Facilitation and provision of timely, safe, quality and clinically effective care is a priority.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 5 and the Queensland Public Service values.
- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Sunshine Coast Health Values.
Salary rates: $44.06 - $56.51 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (fixed term temporary part time position available for ten months, 56hrs p.f.).
