What your day could look like
As an Advanced Social Worker, you'll play a critical role supporting children, young people and families experiencing complex mental health challenges. From guiding high‑quality clinical care to strengthening practice across teams, your work will help shape safer, more connected pathways to care for the community we serve.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Providing advanced clinical assessment, intervention and advice for complex presentations
- Supporting and guiding colleagues through consultation, supervision and shared decision‑making
- Leading service improvements that enhance care quality, safety and continuity
- Building strong partnerships that improve outcomes across health and community services
Let's Talk About You
You're someone who brings both confidence and compassion to your work. You're known for calm judgement, thoughtful leadership and the ability to support others through complexity. What gives you the greatest pride is seeing better outcomes for young people and families because of the care, integrity and courage you bring every day. You're not just here to meet expectations — you're here to lift practice, support teams and make meaningful change.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Eligibility for professional membership as a qualified Social Worker
- Advanced experience supporting children and young people with complex mental health needs
- Strong clinical leadership, communication and consultative skills
- A commitment to evidence‑based practice, learning and reflective supervision
You'll stand out from the crowd if you bring postgraduate study or specialist experience in child, youth or family mental health, and/or experience leading quality improvement or service development initiatives.
Above all, you'll live the values of compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage — delivering care that makes a lasting difference for young people, families and the wider community.
This role is about leadership with heart, expertise with purpose, and impact that truly counts.
