What your day could look like
As Senior Manager Procurement and Contracts, you'll influence how resources are planned, purchased and managed across a regional health service that supports thousands of people every day. Your work helps ensure clinicians and services have what they need, when they need it, while delivering responsible, future‑focused value for the community.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Shaping strategic procurement outcomes that improve value, sustainability and long‑term service capability
- Leading high‑impact commercial negotiations that balance cost, risk, innovation and community benefit
- Partnering with leaders, teams and suppliers to deliver practical solutions that support patient care
- Driving better ways of working, strengthening contract management, governance and confidence across the organisation
Let's Talk About You
You're a strategic thinker who brings clarity to complexity and purpose to decision‑making. You lead with integrity, value collaboration, and know how to bring people with you through change. What motivates you most is seeing smart commercial choices translate into stronger services for patients, clinicians and communities. You take pride in building relationships, solving problems that matter, and creating systems that stand the test of time.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Proven experience leading complex procurement and commercial activities in large or regulated environments
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving value‑based outcomes
- The ability to guide, influence and support stakeholders at senior and operational levels
- A leadership style grounded in compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have formal procurement qualifications, postgraduate study, or experience driving improvement across diverse or regional settings.
At heart, this role is about using commercial expertise to enable better care—making decisions you can feel proud of, every day.
