What your day could look like
As an Accountant, you'll play an important role in supporting sustainable health services across the region. Your work helps leaders make informed decisions, strengthens confidence in our financial position, and ensures resources are used where they matter most – for patients, clinicians and communities.
Working collaboratively within the finance team, you'll balance detail with big-picture thinking and contribute to outcomes that make a genuine difference.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering accurate budgets, forecasts and financial insights that support confident decision-making
- Strengthening financial reporting, controls and systems to ensure integrity and compliance
- Providing clear, practical advice that helps managers understand and act on financial information
- Improving processes and approaches, bringing ideas that enhance how financial services support care
Let's Talk About You
You're an accountant who values purpose as much as precision. You take pride in producing work that people trust, and you enjoy partnering with others to solve problems and strengthen outcomes. Guided by compassion, integrity and courage, you bring curiosity, accountability and professionalism to everything you do. You'll feel proud knowing your expertise supports services that care for people when they need it most.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Experience in financial or management accounting within a complex organisation
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting and contemporary practices
- Confidence using financial systems and translating data into meaningful insights
- A collaborative mindset, with clear communication and a commitment to continuous improvement
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in large public-sector environments and/or hold a tertiary qualification or professional accounting membership.
Above all, you'll share our commitment to compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage, helping ensure financial stewardship that supports better health outcomes today and into the future.
