Your new role:

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will support the delivery of high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary hospital environment, working under the guidance of qualified Occupational Therapists.

  • Deliver delegated therapy programs (individual and group) and support patients with activities of daily living in line with care plans.
  • Assist with patient handling, transport, and the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of therapy equipment and resources.
  • Provide feedback to therapists on patient progress and contribute to accurate patient documentation and records.

About you:

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual who thrives in a team-based healthcare setting and is committed to delivering safe, person-centred care.

  • Demonstrated ability to assist with therapy interventions and patient care under supervision, including manual handling tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work within scope of practice.
  • Commitment to professional standards, including confidentiality, ethical practice, and continuous learning and development.
