Your new Role:
As a Senior Health Lawyer, you will deliver high-level, pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of health law and medico-legal matters within a dynamic public healthcare environment. Working with minimal supervision, you'll manage complex issues including coronial inquests, medical negligence claims, regulatory investigations, and human rights matters. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, represent the organisation in legal proceedings, and contribute to policy, education, and continuous improvement initiatives—ensuring legal compliance while supporting safe, high-quality patient care.

You are a highly skilled and solutions-focused legal professional who thrives in complex environments and delivers confident, pragmatic advice that drives positive outcomes. You will have:
- Extensive experience in health law/medico-legal matters
- Ability to manage complex cases with minimal supervision
- Strong advocacy skills in coronial and litigation matters
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation ability
- Advanced written skills for high-level legal documentation
- Sound judgement with a strong focus on risk and compliance

About the Legal Team
The MSH legal team pride themselves on delivering best practice legal advice and solutions to the organisation across a broad spectrum of areas, ranging from commercial and contract law issues to all aspects of health and medico-legal matters including coronial matters, human rights, anti-discrimination and privacy. We work within a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. The legal team has a crucial role to play in:
- Supporting the delivery of high quality, effective and efficient health services for our patients; and
- Legal risk management for MSH
