Manager, Incident Management and Exercising. The Cyber Defence team within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business’s Queensland Government Cyber Security Unit (QGCSU) help Queensland Government entities better prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from, cyber incidents through a centrally led program. As a key member of the team, you will be required to work closely with key stakeholders to develop and deliver cyber exercises and help coordinate responses to cyber incidents.

As the Manager, Incident Management and Exercising, you will:
• Coordinate communication and response activities during a cyber incident through effective liaison with technical experts.
• Support the interface between the QGCSU & state response mechanisms like theCrisis Communication Network during a state cyber incident or crisis under the Queensland Disaster Management Arrangements
• Operate cyber incident management processes and ensure a smooth interface with security operations teams for incident.
• Deliver projects to improve the whole of Government cyber security incident management and exercising capabilities.
• Provide expert advice in improving cyber incident management practice and assist in operation of the whole of Government Communities of Practice.
• Maintain and uphold a framework for managing exercises to ensure a uniform approach to cyber security exercises across government. This includes exercise design, management, and assessment.
• Monitor the implementation of whole of government exercise evaluation outcomes and provide data and recommendations to inform training and skills gaps identification.
• Coach team staff in the design and management of exercises to lift capability, capacity and consistency.
• Manage the design, conduct and evaluation of whole of government exercises as well as Queensland Government entity exercises.
• Plan and scope program related business administration and activities, ensuring compliance with set budgets, governance, work health & safety and other requirements to support effective and compliant utilisation of assets and resources.
