About us:

The role will have a focus on the CCU, and other cardiac services however may be required to provide clinical pharmacy services to other medical wards within the Clinical pharmacy team as operationally required, as well as provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced pharmacists, pharmacy interns and clinical assistants within the Pharmacy Department. This role offers the opportunity to broaden your clinical expertise across a diverse caseload, in the Pharmacutical area, as well as encouragement and support for clinical development and advanced practice.
About your opportunity:
- Deliver high level clinical pharmacy services within a single or multidisciplinary team within the Cairns Hospital in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
- Provide general clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding clinical pharmacy services delivery.
- Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within clinical service area and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of clinical pharmacy services.
