Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- A thorough working knowledge and demonstrated competence in all aspects of analytical specimen processing together with a knowledge of laboratory operations in all disciplines.
- High level of communication skills to enable effective interaction in individual and group situations. Ability to provide training to all levels of staff.
- Extensive experience and ability to deliver high quality services to clients. Ability to understand and react responsively to client expectations.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including conflict resolution, negotiation and influencing competencies.
- Ability to plan and prioritise to effectively manage the customer service function in alignment with the overall strategic plan of the Department.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use computerised systems, basic keyboarding skills particularly for data entry.
