Correspondence Officer
Executive Correspondence Unit; Office of the Director-General; Brisbane City
As the Correspondence Officer, Executive Correspondence Unit (ECU), you will review and assess incoming correspondence, arrange the drafting of responses by action officers and undertake quality assurance on Premier and Director-General letters and briefing notes.
You will use your experience in reviewing and editing letters and briefing notes to ensure the progression of high-quality work to our stakeholders.
You will assist in delivering accurate and timely executive services for the Office of the Director- General and the Office of the Premier.

ECU delivers ministerial and executive correspondence functions for the department and Office of the Premier to a high standard, in a high-volume and deadline orientated environment.
ECU provides consistent, accurate and timely correspondence and briefing coordination services through best practice correspondence management, rigorous quality assurance, and by identifying and managing emerging issues and trends.
As the Correspondence Officer you will ensure the efficient delivery of executive correspondence functions, within a busy and time critical work environment, by assisting with the coordination of departmental and ministerial correspondence; drafting referral letters, providing advice and support to the department regarding correspondence and briefing notes and undertaking quality assurance and editorial functions on briefs and correspondence.
You will utilise your ability to build positive and effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including the Office of the Premier and the Office of the Director-General. You will thrive working in an environment which is fast paced, where attention to detail is critical, and you work closely with your team to meet daily deadlines
