The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is building a new 10.2km rail line that includes 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD; with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.

Once complete, it will provide trains with a much-needed alternative rail path through the core of the current SEQ Rail network, unlocking a bottleneck and allowing more trains to run more often across the whole of South East Queensland.

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also delivering multiple supporting projects and activities in conjunction with the Department of Transport and Main Roads. These include accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast; upgrades for stabling yards; track works and surface rail enhancements; and the introduction of a new ETCS digital signalling system.

About the Role

The IT Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining defined service levels through the provision of high level technical expertise in the operation, administration, maintenance and support of infrastructure and solutions across one or more technology domains.

The role supports the smooth operation and availability of critical systems, enabling CRRDA to effectively manage projects, workflows and collaboration.

This opportunity is offered as a fixed term contract until September 2028 with possible extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Systems Engineers and Technical Managers to maintain and optimise existing environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across custom applications, performance, access and functionality
• Respond to threat management alerts and vulnerabilities, implementing risk mitigation actions
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practice
• Contribute to ICT policies, standards, procedures and documentation
• Ensure information security records are accurate and support requests are handled within agreed service levels
• Provide training and support to end users and team members
• Apply technical knowledge across Atlassian products, Microsoft 365 platforms and custom code environments

About You:

You will demonstrate:

• Proven experience working collaboratively in team environments
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing deadlines
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Atlassian platforms
• Skills in web application administration and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of PowerShell, APIs and custom code environments
• Industry certifications such as Microsoft or Atlassian are highly desirable.
